GROUP FAQ
What if I AM not located near you?
Currently, all our groups are offered virtually online using the Zoom video conferencing platform, allowing you to conveniently join our groups from the comfort of your own home. To make the most out of your group experience and to uphold everyone’s confidentiality, we require that all clients find a quiet and private location to join us from.
CAN I JOIN RIGHT AWAY?
We invite new members to join our groups, all subject to availability. We understand the importance of finding the right fit, so if a specific group is currently waitlisted, we are more than happy to add you to our list and inform you as soon as a spot becomes available. We provide our groups at various times and days throughout the week.
CAN I TRY THE GROUP BEFORE COMMITTING?
Absolutely, we invite you to try a group as a complimentary trial. Participating in this trial will provide you with an opportunity to assess if our group is the right fit for you. We will connect with you after your trial group to ask if you would like to become a member.
HOW LONG IS THE COMMITMENT?
We operate on a monthly commitment basis for our groups. We highly recommend clients to stay in group for a minimum of three to six months. Many of our clients have found long-term success with us and have remained in our groups for over a year. We prioritize the well-being and progress of our clients, encouraging them to stay for as long as they feel necessary. To make things convenient, our group sessions are charged for a month block at a time. This means that on the first of each month, clients will pay for all the groups scheduled for that month.
CAN I ATTEND THE GROUP ON DIFFERENT DAYS?
In order to get the full therapeutic benefit out of group, we keep our groups to the same members weekly. Part of the group process is healing together with your peers, thus we ask members to commit to the group they have joined.
IS THE GROUP CONFIDENTIAL?
Yes. What is shared in group stays in group. We take this very seriously and all group members are required to sign a confidentiality form. In recovery, trust is paramount to get the most out of the therapeutic process. Who you see and what you hear from others in our groups must be kept within the group. It takes great bravery to share intimate parts of our lives with others, and we want everyone to feel safe and comfortable.
WILL MY BENEFIT PROVIDER COVER MY GROUP FEES?
Armour Addiction Services does not offer direct billing to insurance providers. Instead, we kindly request that clients make payments to us directly. Upon payment, clients will receive an official receipt that provides a breakdown of the group and includes the credentials of our facilitators. We encourage clients to submit this receipt to their insurance provider for potential reimbursement, although we cannot guarantee the outcome. Our staff and therapists have specialized degrees and credentials that may not always be recognized by providers.
